Benjamin Corrigan is a short-story writer. He studied English Literature at the University of Sheffield and has an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University.
All of his stories have some connection to the Glastonbury Festival. The idea for The Glastonbury Tales was conceived in 2008 and he began writing the first stories in 2012. He attended the 2005, 2007, 2015 and 2016 Glastonbury Festivals.
His writing is inspired by the work of, among others, John Fowles, John Updike, Tessa Hadley, Lorrie Moore, Denis Johnson and Dave Eggers.
He likes shoegaze, post-rock and old-school hip hop; Joanna Newsom; the rapper MF DOOM (RIP); and All Tomorrow’s Parties festivals (also RIP). His dream Glastonbury headliner would be Kate Bush.
A keen runner, he is a member of the Steel City Striders running club and has completed three marathons. In 2016 he missed out on a good-for-age time by 32 seconds. He is not good for his age.
He is a freelance copy editor and proofreader and lives in Kelham Island, Sheffield.
